Tonight is the Night

The Red Army opens up the exhibition season today against the Brazilian National Team. The game is being played at the Gambucci Arena tonight at 7:00pm. A standing room only crowd is expected as there is a large delegation coming from Brazil. The Brazilian Olympic Organization is hoping to get the Huff-n-Puff league to agree to play an exhibition tourney during the 2016 summer Olympic Games. Brazil is hoping to become a world power in hockey in the next decade and wanted the best league in North America to show the People of Brazil how hockey is played. "We will be leaving Gilby at home," said Steve Palmiscno. "We can't go to Brazil with the worst goalie in the world." Steve Olson quipped, "I hope I can still tie my own skates by 2016." Army management is predicting big things this year. "We are seeing this team as a contender for the league title. I think we could go 16-4 this year," said GM Kevin Kyle. Assistant GM, Paul Markovich doesn't quite agree with Kyle. "Is Kyle hanging out with Cheech and Chong again? This team will be lucky to win a game. Have you seen them with their shirts off. It is NOT a pretty site!"
