Army defeats El Roco 4-1
The Red Army played there most complete game of the season, knocking off the El Roco 4-1. After spotting the Buschwackers an early 1-0 lead. (They scored on the first shift) The Army defense took over. The Wackers goalie was stellar early. The Army didn't solve him until midway through the second period. The Army lead 2-1 after two and scored 2 more in the third to get the win and propel their record to 5-4-1. This has to be the comeback story of the year in sports. "The biggest thing that help us tonight was the absence of Wacker defensmen Dave Roche. He has dominated us over the years. He is the sole reason we didn't score the first time we played them," Said Army defense, Todd Palmiscno. Wacker forward Jerry Lundby added, "When Ro-Chee is out there we never have to worry about anyone going wide. It is tough to get around someone that is wider than they are tall." The Army finally got a decent performance out of goalie, Josh Gilbertson. "One game out of 10 isn't bad," said Army winger Steve Palmiscno.
